Table Comments Setup

In addition to the information below, please refer to JobManager Attachments, which makes it possible to save files in the NAV/BC database. This is especially appropriate in newer BC installations, where the possibility of links has been eliminated.

JobManager offers the opportunity to associate Comments and Links to Jobs.

These will then be available to the employee when registre time.

JobManager offers a standard setup for showing Comments and Links to a range of standard NAV tables. The lines in this table is automatically created.

These defaults can be enable/disable as desired.

Reference to other Comments and Links can be set up by creating a new line.

Select Type and fill in Caption, Sorting and the appropriate fields:

• Type Comment is used to collect Comments from related tables. Also fill in:
  • Reference Table
  • Comment Field
  • Up to 5 filters can be associated with Field on Reference Table (X), Field on Job Tabel (X) and/or Constant (X)   
• Type Link is used to collect Links from related tables. Also fill in:
  • Reference Table
  • Up to 5 filters can be associated with Field on Reference Table (X), Field on Job Tabel (X) and/or Constant (X)
• Type Codeunit is used to add entirely different Comments and/or Links. That could be from a new table. *Also fill in:
  • Codeunit

The appearance of Caption and Text can be changed for all types.
